Chris Polanco is one of the most well known all-rounded musicians from Latin America, Hong Kong and all over Asia. His talents as being a music producer, touring artist, composer, arranger, band leader, multiple-instrument player and entrepreneur, along with his unique charm, have brought him and those around him a happy & positive energy.
Chris is the founder of the one and only authentic Latin band around Asia – Azúcar Latina Band & Ensemble.
At the young age of 16, Chris had been taking a role as the Choral Conductor in a Catholic School back in his hometown, Dominican Republic. He had then begun his music performing journey ultilizing his first instruments, guitar, keyboard, and his passionate voice as he offered his service in the church.
Now, Chris has been based in Hong Kong for over 2 decades. His talents are widely known in Percussion, Piano & Keyboard, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Accordion, and Singing. Chris is a pioneer in creating new music trends by infusing Latin rhythms, classic melodies & arrangements into Cantonese & Mandarin pop music.
Over the years, Chris has obtained rich ideas and great inspiration from his background and experiences. He has an unique power in delivering his passion and positive influence through his music performances and creations.

Chris Polanco is a music producer who writes, composes, and arranges different styles of music for himself and for various artists.
In 2018, he has released his masterpiece “Tequila”《龍舌蘭》featuring Eason Chan (陳奕迅) and the DUO Band in the《L.O.V.E.》Album.
In the same year, he was invited by Being Hong Kong Media《就係香港》to be the singer and lyricist for the song “Better Days”《紙上的共融之歌》featuring Lowell Lo (盧冠廷).
He has released 2 CD albums – “Chris con Azúcar” in 2005, and “My Music Road” in 2011.
One of the most popular concert arrangements was also from Mr. Polanco - “Crazy”《瘋了》for Sandy Lam (林憶蓮), which was a marvelous mixture of Latin rhythms with Cantonese pop tune. The arrangement was one of the crowds’ favorites in the Sandy Lam MXIII World Tour throughout 2011 – 2012.
